Centrally located within the City of Miramichi, French Fort Cove serves as
a local nature and recreation park. The rich, and at times, haunting history of French Fort Cove and its early settlers peaks
the interest of many visitors year round. In addition to everyday activities, each winter the annual Rotary Pond Hockey Tournament
takes place at French Fort Cove. The Cove also plays host to a number of charity fundraisers throughout the year.

Home to many natural species of flora and fauna, French Fort Cove is an excellent location
for naturalists. For those who seek a more active experience, French Fort Cove offers a variety of walking, hiking and biking
trails throughout the lush wilderness. The more adventurous thrill seekers are invited to Dare the Dark for the Headless Nun
Adventure, which operates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night beginning at 9:00pm during the months of July and August.

The French Fort Cove Commission has already transformed the Cove into an area in which people
of all ages can enjoy themselves. In addition to its natural beauty, French Fort Cove offers public washrooms, a large playground
area, and canoe and kayak rentals during the summer months.
Miramichi Landings plans to rejuvenate this landmark
location by upgrading many of the natural aspects and existing structures in the coming years.
