use site that will offer walking trails and provide an exceptional view of the natural wildlife and vegetation located here.
Canadian Point will serve as a central gathering place for naturalists of all ages, and will be another area in the City of
Miramichi that residents and tourists can enjoy nature amid the hustle and bustle of city life.

As a settling place for French families in the late 1600s and early
1700s, Canadian Point, located across the Miramichi River from French Fort Cove, was home to the City of Miramichi’s
waste water lagoon.
